Key is a Licensed Master Social Worker and TBRIĀ® (Trust Based Relational Intervention) trained practitioner and educator who provides play therapy, Theraplay and family therapy.

Kay earned her Master's Degree from the University of Kansas and completed a Post Master's Fellowship in family systems therapy and infant and child psychiatry at the prestigious Menninger Clinic. She received her TBRI training at Texas Christian University under Karen Purvis, PhD, the creator and founder of TBRI.

Kay works with children and parents through the lens of Attachment theory and she specializes in working with foster and adoptive families. She works with children 12 and under and their caregivers to create a safe and healing therapeutic environment. Kay believes whenever possible it is ideal to include caregivers in their child's therapeutic process. She works to develop a collaborative relationship with caregivers and involves them from the goal setting stage to including them in the therapy room.
