Denise specializes in using play therapy in clinical practice with children and their families. As part of her clinical work, she provides outpatient psychotherapy to children who have been impacted by abuse, trauma, grief, loss, adoption, attachment, anxiety, sexual abuse or difficulty managing anger.

Denise is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Counseling. She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from The University of Illinois @ Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work and a Post Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Denise is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, North American Association of Christians in Social Work and the Association of Play Therapy. Denise has worked as a therapist with children and families in hospitals, outpatient mental health agencies, and domestic/international adoption agencies. She has been in private practice since 2009.
