Jason received his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2014 and obtained his clinical license in 2021.
From a leader in church youth groups to a case manager and street outreach worker for runaway and homeless youth, Jason has worked with adolescents in a variety of settings since 2006. As a therapist, Jason has been doing individual and family counseling with adolescents since 2015, while also leading group one day a week for an adolescent intensive outpatient program (IOP) since 2022. He also has experience doing individual therapy with adults and desires to help people, regardless of their age or stage of life, become who God has created them to be.
Jason uses cognitive behavioral and solution-focused approaches in therapy, and teaches dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills. He incorporates family systems, attachment, and Christian faith perspectives. Jason specializes in addressing issues related to depression, anxiety, stress, anger, self-harm, communication problems, and family conflict. Jason also knows what it's like to live with depression and anxiety, having addressed these issues in his own life.
Jason is married with three children, enjoys sports and traveling, and is involved in a local church.
Jason is on insurance panels for Blue Cross Blue Shield of KC, United Health Care, and Cigna/Evernorth. Fees for Self-Pay (if not covered under insurance) are $140 for the first session and $120 for each session after that. Credit cards, checks, and cash are accepted for payment.
